Heather, a native Austinite, brings a creative and collaborative approach to real estate. Growing up in Tarrytown and graduating from UT, she is uniquely familiar with Austin’s hidden treasures and all the city has to offer. From her many years at Word of Mouth Catering, she has worked with hundreds of homegrown companies, non-profit organizations, and social clients. Her enthusiastic and direct approach has built a solid referral network from past clients, friends and co-workers.

Heather loves a good challenge and is incredibly resourceful. She loves getting to know her clients and considers many friends. Her goal is to understand their dreams and help realize their vision. Whether they are first time buyers, longtime Austinites making the next move, or investors building a portfolio, her direct and transparent approach with unparalleled service have created strong relationships and a solid network of professionals and resources.

She is a community advocate, working fundraisers at her son’s school, making meal kits at The Central Texas Food Bank, driving for Meals on Wheels and co-chairing the Austin PALS Campaign for the Future. Her family is her foundation. They love to travel, hike, explore Austin and experiment in their kitchen. Heather can be found walking with clients and friends around Town Lake, having coffee at Texas French Bread or lunch at Matt’s El Rancho with lifelong friends and family.

Wow! It’s hard to even describe how relieved we are to have chosen Heather Powell as our realtor. While we know many realtors, the fact that she is a Native Austinite makes her an amazing choice. Literally one day before our house went on the market, our next door neighbor’s house (of similar size to ours), went on the market for $100K less than ours. We were panicked. But Heather remained calm, cool, and collected. Being a broker and having many other broker friends, Heather conducted a brokers’ open before the public open. Multiple brokers toured each home and assured Heather that the price she chose was exactly appropriate for the many upgrades that we had added to our house. The day of the public open house, we had an at-asking-price offer in 7 hours. Other benefits – that are too important to go without mentioning – is that a) she comes armed with a huge inventory of lovely furniture to stage your home with and b) she has an outstanding handyman that does work exclusively for her. If we had to find/schedule all the “last minute” things like paint touch-ups, covering nail holes where pictures were, etc., it would have taken forever. Having Heather as our realtor-broker was simple one of the BEST financial decisions we have ever made!
